Weddings at Oxcombe
At Oxcombe, weddings are intentionally small and shaped around the day you want to have. Carefully considered packages keep planning simple, whether you’re looking to host a quiet ceremony or an afternoon of drinks, canapés and cake. For couples who would like to curate their own day, or a celebration that carries on into the evening, we also offer a more bespoke option.
Couples can choose to marry in the church or in the gardens, with time afterwards for drinks, photographs and relaxed celebrations across the grounds. Each package offers a different way to enjoy Oxcombe, while keeping the experience personal, easy and full of a sense of occasion.

Do we get the venue to ourselves?
Yes - the ceremony spaces, gardens and reception areas included in your package are yours exclusively for your wedding. The wider estate is a working and creative place, so there may be other people on site, but your wedding spaces are private and set apart. Please note: the front-of-house garden is available for drinks receptions as part of the full day celebration package (Tenmoku).
Can we decorate the spaces to reflect our own style or theme?
Yes - you’re very welcome to add your own styling and personal touches to make the day feel completely yours. We provide the main floral elements and core set-up, but you can bring your own décor and details to complement this. Where needed, we can usually arrange access ahead of the day so you can dress the spaces and create the look you have in mind.
Do you provide the flowers?
Yes - we include curated, seasonal flowers for your ceremony space and reception areas, styled to suit Oxcombe’s natural, rural setting. The flower arrangements are garden and farm inspired rather than formal styled displays. You’re also very welcome to bring your own florist or additional arrangements if you’d like to personalise the look further.
Do we have to get married in the church?
Not at all. Our historic church is a beautiful and much-loved licensed ceremony space, but couples can also choose our outdoor ceremony area in the gardens. Alternatively the converted Cowshed barn is also available as a ceremony space.
Can we camp on site?
Camping isn’t part of our standard wedding packages, but we do have a campsite space available for hire separately. The camping area has good quality toilet and shower facilities, and we’re happy to talk about camping arrangements if you would like to.
Can we include a creative experience, like pottery, in our wedding?
Yes - Oxcombe is also home to active pottery studios, and we can help you create a small, bespoke pottery experience around your wedding, whether that’s before the day, as part of your celebrations, or as a relaxed activity for guests. This is arranged individually and can be tailored to what feels right for you.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. Couples bring their own alcohol for their wedding at Oxcombe. We provide the bar set-up, glassware, most soft drinks and chilled storage, and drinks are served for you as part of your package. It’s a relaxed and flexible way to run the day, and gives you complete freedom over what you serve.
What happens if the weather isn’t on our side?
We always plan your day with a back-up option in place. If you’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony or garden drinks, we’ll arrange an indoor alternative in advance so that everything can move smoothly if needed. This means you can plan with confidence, whatever the weather does on the day.
