All Saints Church

All Saints Church sits at the heart of the Oxcombe estate. Old and full of quiet character, it offers a rare setting for civil ceremonies due to being deconsecrated.

Its size, history, and simplicity make it suited to intimate gatherings, while remaining closely connected to the gardens, barns, and wider estate. The old pews provide seating for up to 28 guests, the couple and two celebrants / registrars. It would feel suitable for much smaller gatherings too.

A place for ceremonies

The church can be used for wedding ceremonies, civil celebrations, and personal gatherings shaped around your own beliefs and traditions. As a deconsecrated space, it is open to all couples and allows flexibility in how ceremonies are conducted.

The iconic existing pews can be arranged to suit the size and style of your day, and the building works naturally with both formal and informal approaches. Entry and access into the church is disable friendly and an area exists in the church for wheelchair space.

New improvements to lighting and heating allow weddings to happen within the church all year round. Hence special winter and Christmas weddings are available too.

Character and atmosphere

Although a church has existed at the same site for over 500 hundred years, the existing church was built in the 1840s. Original architectural details were designed by the architect William Nicholson, who also designed Oxcombe Manor. It's been described as one of the best kept churches of its era. Furthermore it demonstrates a simplicity that allows couples to make the space their own, whether left largely untouched or gently dressed with rustic flowers and modern or candle lighting.

Flow of the day

One of the church’s strengths is its position within the estate. Guests can move easily from the ceremony into the gardens for drinks, photographs, and informal gatherings, before celebrations continue in the adjoining barns.

This close proximity keeps the day feeling connected and unhurried. The church is also very closely situated to toilet facilities and car parking.
