Whenever food and drink are served at Oxcombe, the focus is on simple, well-made hospitality using high-quality produce and thoughtful presentation. All catering included within our packages is provided by our appointed caterers, working closely with us to deliver food that's eloquent, delicious and suited to your day.

Food and drinks are served using Oxcombe’s own crockery, glassware and tableware. Some pieces are handmade at Oxcombe Pottery, alongside bespoke and carefully chosen items that give each table a relaxed, characterful feel rather than a uniform, hired finish.

When the Cowshed Events Barn and Crewyard Art Barn is included within a package, they are prepared as a warm and welcoming space, with considered lighting creating an intimate atmosphere for gathering, eating and celebrating. The result is a setting that feels informal yet intentional, allowing food, conversation and celebration to take centre stage.

Drinks at Oxcombe

For all packages where a reception takes place, the couple and their guests can bring their own alcohol and we do not provide any. Drinks can be delivered to Oxcombe the day before your wedding and stored in our refrigeration facilities, to be perfectly chilled and ready for the celebration.

We provide tea, coffee and a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks, such as our home pressed apple juice, lemonade and elderflower cordial. If you would like a wider range of soft drinks, these can be supplied by you.

Drinks and food are always served by our caterers for the Floating Blue and Shino Packages, either by tray service or from a designated serving area. For the Tenmoku package the caterers that you independently hire will be responsible for the serving of your food and drinks.

For couples who would like a focal point for the drinks reception, our horse box bar is available to hire as an optional extra.

The Floating Blue package - Canapés & Drinks Reception

This package includes a relaxed drinks and canapés reception following the ceremony.

Canapés are provided by our appointed caterers and included within the package. Couples can choose a selection from a canapé menu in advance, with final choices agreed ahead of the day.

Drinks are supplied by the couple and served by our caterers, with tea, coffee and a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks provided (lemonade, elderflower cordial & Oxcombe pressed apple juice). The reception typically takes place in the Cowshed Events Barn and surrounding garden areas, allowing guests to move easily between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Shino package - Canapés, Drinks & Afternoon Tea

This package includes everything in the Floating Blue package, with the addition of a traditional afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea is provided by our caterers and includes a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones, alongside tea and coffee. Menu choices are agreed in advance, and dietary requirements can be accommodated.

This package is designed for couples who would like an extended daytime celebration, with time to relax, eat and gather together following the ceremony and into the afternoon.

The Tenmoku package - Full Day Celebration (Dry Hire)

For couples planning a longer celebration, such as with a sit-down meal, dancing, food truck and an evening party, our full-day dry-hire option offers the greatest flexibility.

Food and drink are not included within this package. Couples are free to choose their own caterers, and we can provide a recommended supplier list covering a range of styles, from formal dining to relaxed food trucks.

As with all packages, alcohol is supplied by the couple and served by caterers, with the option to hire the horse box bar if desired.

A note on serving & spaces

Food and drink are served within the Event spaces and garden areas included in your package. Certain areas of the estate are not accessible during weddings, and these boundaries are agreed in advance to ensure the day runs smoothly.
