The Shino - Ceremony, Canapés & Afternoon Tea

An extended daytime celebration, designed for couples who want time to gather, connect and celebrate together without the formality of a full dinners evening reception.

The Ceremony

Your civil ceremony takes place in All Saints Church or in the gardens, surrounded by the estate’s historic setting. Seating and a simple, rustic, seasonal floral arrangement are provided, creating a calm and intimate backdrop for the moment itself.

Bot the church and garden are licensed for civil ceremonies and accommodates up to 28 guests, creating a close, personal atmosphere. During the warmer months, the garden offers a relaxed alternative beneath open skies with views over the rolling hills.

Following the ceremony, guests are free to enjoy the grounds for photographs and conversation.

Drinks & Canapés

After the ceremony, guests are welcomed to a relaxed drinks and canapé reception, held across the gardens and in the Cowshed Events Barn.

Canapés are prepared and served by our appointed caterers, with a curated menu to choose from in advance. Guests provide their own alcohol, which can be delivered ahead of the day and served by the catering team using Oxcombe glassware. Tea, coffee and a small selection of soft drinks are included.

Afternoon Tea in the Cowshed

The celebration continues with a traditional afternoon tea, served in the Cowshed Events Barn. Expect a generous, beautifully presented spread of sandwiches, cakes and scones, with tea and coffee served throughout. There is curated selection of different cakes and sandwiches to choose from in advance.

The barn is styled simply and warmly, with candles and soft lighting creating an inviting space to settle in and enjoy the afternoon together.

A Thoughtful, Unhurried Day

This package offers a natural flow from ceremony to celebration, giving you time to be present with your guests while keeping planning straightforward and the atmosphere relaxed.

Guest numbers are kept intentionally small, preserving the sense of intimacy that defines weddings at Oxcombe.

Access & Timings

• The civil ceremony may take place at any time during the day, subject to registrar availability

• All ceremonies must be completed by 4:00pm

• Drinks and canapés are served following the ceremony

• A relaxed afternoon tea is served later in the afternoon

• Drinks service finishes at 7:00pm, with guests departing by 7:30pm

Pricing

From £3,200
Price includes ceremony, drinks and canapé reception, and afternoon tea for a minimum number of 10 guests.
Additional guests (up to 35 in total) may be added at a per-person rate of £65 per person.
